Have you heard "Purikura"?
Purikura is kind of photo booth in the US, but with a lot of editing functions.

This is where you edit your photos.
Sometimes, the time you can edit is limited so that the turnover rate of the machine would increase.
Usually, there are so many kinds of Purikura machine in one section. If it's big one, the whole floor is occupied with so many Purikura machine.
This is what you can do with editing booths. You can choose backgrounds and decorate the photo with stickers and drawings. You can even change your color of eyes, hair and skin. This is the photo that I took with my Korean friend in Japan.
It can change your face completely so this isn't real me;)
After you edit your photos, you print them, which looks like this.

It's really popular among elementary to university students.
